Vern,
This information is likely connected in some way to the burgeoning field of positive psychology (UPenn's website http://www.ppc.sas.upenn.edu/). Researchers have identified 24 character strengths organized among 6 virtues. I am in the process of completing doctoral research as to the use of these strengths by coaches/leaders. Here are the 24:
Wisdom:
Curiosity
Creativity
Love of Learning
Open-Mindedness
Perspective

Courage:
Bravery
Persistence
Integrity
Vitality

Humanity:
Love
Kindness
Social/Emotional Intelligence

Justice:
Leadership
Citizenship
Fairness

Temperance:
Prudence
Forgiveness
Self-Regulation
Humility

Transcendence:
Hope
Humor
Spirituality
Gratitude
Appreciation of Excellence/Beauty
