Acceleration Mechanics and Volleyball

In answer to the question about how much acceleration did I do with Venice Volleyball. None, as you can see in the picture they have good mechanics. I think that is from all the triple extension work done with throws, DB Pulls and jumps. We did do short (3 to 5 meter) burst sprints two times week in season. They were done from varied starting positions primarily for neural stimulation. Acceleration is really not a relevant performance factor in volleyball. We did very little running aside from some stair work. Fitness came from the accumulation and tempo of the work and practice.
